On the shore there is fire, and that fire is beautiful.
As I eagerly await this years first autumn visit to the White Mountains of New Hampshire, I’ve looked to autumns past for inspiration. Here’s an image from “our” lake captured a few years ago.
Edit: I just realized that this is my 200th post ๐
This is such a stunning photograph!
Thanks Colline! I get to see this spot every day.
You are a very lucky person.
Nice picture! ๐
great capture of fall color jeff!
Thanks! Stay tuned, because autumn is coming into full swing in the northern parts of the state, and I plan to spend the entire day, sunrise to sunset, in the mountains on Sunday. Pics to follow!
Wow!!! That’s gorgeous. The colours aren’t like that yet here, but I think Mike and I are going to take a drive next weekend to see what we can find.
They’re just starting here. The swamp maples always turn first. The northern part of the state is coming very close to peak now. Which is why I’m heading north on Sunday ๐
I can’t wait to see what you find :).
Great color! I can hear Bob Ross now…”Let’s just put some happy little trees in there…”
Ha! ๐
Glorious! It should be a good year for multitudes of color!
I hope so! All the early reports have me chomping at the bit to get into the mountains! And Sunday I will be checking it out first hand ๐
Gorgeous, Jeff. Love the rippled reflections!
Thank you Sue.
beautiful Jeff. Your photos always make me want to visit your area… Fall is noticeable here but NOTHING compared to the Northeast.
Stunning!
Wow, this is such a breathtaking photo. The colors are amazing and the reflection is beautiful!
Hi Dounia, thank you for such a wonderful compliment, and thanks for stopping by.
Absolutely stunning. It captures two things I love to photograph the most…autumn and reflections. I enjoy your photography a lot.
Thank you! I’m looking to an autumn with plenty of both. ๐
So very beautiful Jeff! I love the colors and the reflection on the lake. Ah, Autumn is so lovely.
Thank you Elina. And yes it is, I only wish the best of it lasted much longer.
Me too ๐
stunning beauty!!
Thank you very much!
I think that changing leaves in the Northeast are more vibrant than anywhere else in the world. Stunning image, Jeff. Like a postcard.
Thanks Ruth. I think it’s the maples that really set the northeast apart. Most places that have any kind of fall foliage to speak of have some yellows and oranges. But the reds we get on the maples, mixed in the the yellows and golds, is what makes the region the place to go for the best fall color.
Gorgeous diverse range of colors. Absolutely Stunning ๐
Thanks Lou! Obviously you have impeccable taste. ๐

Obviously! lol
Nydelig bilde Jeff!
