The object of my affection.

While out photographing yesterday we came across this beautiful rustic cabin.

Spectacular scenic view from a rustic log cabin.

With its rustic charm and field-stone fireplace, I could easily “downsize” for a simpler life.ย The cabin alone is a place I could easily call home.

Add the spectacular view to the equation and I call it Heaven.

    1. Not if I get there first! Of course, it would be a very tough seek with my wife. She’d prefer to be a little closer to civilization. Me on the other hand, I could sell our much larger house, and most of the “stuff” in it, for a place like this.

    1. Actually, close enough that it really wouldn’t be that much of a problem. It’s actually pretty close to one of the most touristy areas in New Hampshire. But as I’ve been sworn to secrecy as to the exact location, that’s all I’m going to say ๐Ÿ˜‰

        1. We’d set up a meeting place, then I’d have to blindfold you and put you in the back of a windowless van, then drive you there. All super secret spy like stuff ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Yes! I often wish I could go back and make the changes necessary to live a more simple life. I have recently made the decision that I really don’t need much, and I’m no longer in search of acquiring more. I’m trying to keep it to the actual “needs”, while cutting out as many of the “wants” and I can.

      1. This kind of thing is easier to do on your own – to bring the whole family on board is another adventure….I know, I’ve tried. But I received more promises than follow-up actions. People really need to embrace this from the inside out, otherwise it feels like deprivation to them.

    1. Thanks! Nope, not HDR. A single exposure, the light wasn’t all that great by the time we finally found the view we were looking for, so I had to play a little in post processing.
