Mount Washington, NH.
The tallest peak in the northeast is a prominent landmark that can be seen from miles away, and a feature in many of my photographs.

Thanks!
Nice colourful gallery. I’m hardly ever near a mountain myself, so it’s always nice to come here and see some mountain photos.
With winter coming I hope to add even more.
Love the cabin in the snow!
Wouldn’t that be a great view to wake up to every morning?
Absolutely!
Cabin in the woods…awesome shot!
Thanks! I want to move in!
Like the one of you, too!
Why thank you 😉
Beautiful series of photographs
Thanks, Dan.
Magnificent shots, Jeff! Love the water reflections!
Thanks, Amy. That view over Cherry Pond, of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range is likely my favorite view in all of New Hampshire.
Gorgeous 🙂 I’m in love the photo – under the aurora skies. Amazing as always 🙂
Very beautiful and striking! I’m used seeing to the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Thank you. Our mountains here in the east may not be as tall as the mountains in the western US, but I think they’re just as photogenic in their own way.
Beautiful, Jeff. Can you tell me how to access “The Commons”? I posted an entry for today’s theme (The Natural World), but the link won’t let met access The Commons. Perhaps there’s a trick I don’t know.
Thank you. When you first click on the link to the Commons you should have seen something asking if you’d like to request an invitation to it. I don’t remember the exact steps, but I know I couldn’t just start posting.
OK. I did that last night but haven’t heard anything yet. I’ll just wait. Thanks.

I think it took a day before I was approved, maybe two, I don’t remember.
Love the blue mountains behind ya, on the photo with the red t-shirt 🙂 cheers
Thanks! It was a great day and a great hike. And since the summit of Mount Washington is in the clouds well over 300 days a year I was very glad to have been able to get this “selfie.”
I’m always jealous of these, Jeff as snow might happen here every ten years. The first subject of the warm hose juxtaposed with the landscape and cold hues…man, I would love to be there in that house! Christmas card material. Awesome, as always.
Well then, come on up, we have a spare room for the wandering photographer.
Breathtaking photos – as always! I still take my hat off to you for venturing in the cold 🙂
I love the cold! I tend to run so hot while hiking that I look forward to winter every year. Of course the high cost of the technical clothing that allows me to do it safely, when the temps are quite often in the single digits and with winds regularly in the 20-50 mph range, means it has taken me a few years to piece together my layering system of clothing.
Now that I’ve got it though, not much keeps me out of the mountains in the winter. 😀
