2017 was a pretty eventful year for me, with quite a few changes to my photography. The biggest being that 2017 was my first full year photographing exclusively with the Fujifilm X-T2, one of the flagship models in Fuji’s X-Series lineup.

This change to a smaller and lighter camera system had me taking my camera with me wherever I went, much more so than I ever did with my big heavy Canon full-frame DSLR. Having my camera with me so often enabled me to grab a shot as it caught my eye, no longer would I see something and then have to try and remember to come back another time with my camera. Although having a camera with me much more often hasn’t really changed my photography, it has certainly broadened the type of subject matter and style of photograph I make. The biggest change I think is there are more people in my photographs.

All that said let me get to the point of this post.  Here is a selection of my favorite images from 2017. I can’t claim all or most of them are the “best” by any means, they are however a selection of my favorites. All of them shot with my Fujifilm X-T2 and various XF lenses.

I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed making them.

  1. fabulous shots, Jeff! I always love the way your editing allows the pictures to be in perfect focus and a little glossy even. Besides the obvious photography class I should definitely take one day with you, I most probably need another one on editing too. 😉
Thanks for this lovely tour of your best 2017 and let me wish you again the very best for 2018 too!
    Cheers!
    Happy shooting!

  2. You are one of several photographers that I follow who have changed to a Fuji. Glad you are enjoying using it. Your images are great, and I love the variety
